The Ferryman

That Brahman,
seeing whom the mind quits bumping into things,
on that plate
he has me
standing.
Gentle is this ferryman Shreeranga,
taking me across waters so rough,
reaching me to the yonder shore
smoothly, lovingly.
This much I know -
it’s all just for naught without the Guru;
Nivritti, the King, carries the signs.
Join your mind to Vitthal, Lord of the great Goddess;
be absorbed in Brahman
night and day.
