About Jnaneshwar

Like Rumi from Persia or Kabir from North India, Jnaneshwar, considered the greatest of the Marathi poet-saints, captures the power and knowledge of his spiritual attainment in a few spare words. His poetry offers an exquisite combination of knowledge of the truth and love for the divine.

About the Author

Anand Mundra was born and raised in Mahatma Gandhi’s ashrams in India. His father, who was secretary to Gandhi’s spiritual heir, Vinoba Bhave, sang Jnaneshwar’s songs to Anand in his childhood. A resident of the United States, Anand brings the mystical, philosophical treasures of the Marathi language to the West.
